2008 Emergency Response Guidebook
The ERG is an important resource for first responders, providing critical guidance during the initial phase of a hazardous materials incident. For the first time, the 2008 ERG includes a response section applicable to pipeline incidents.
The first update since 2004 contains the latest dangerous goods lists from the United Nations Recommendations, as well as from other international and national regulations. Available on CD or USB drive.
Sections that have been added, expanded and/or revised include:
- Addition of all new dangerous goods listed in UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods (14th and 15th revised editions)
- Guide 147, which had been left intentionally blank in the 2004 edition of the Guidebook, now covers Lithium Ion Batteries
- Rail Car Identification Chart
- Road Trailer Identification Chart
- Pipeline Safety Information
- Copy guide pages to your word processor to create emergency information sheets that can be attached to your shipping papers in accordance with 49 CFR part 172.600
