IMDG Code 35th Edition

The IMO International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG Code), Amendment 35, is mandatory January 1, 2012, but may be used starting January 1, 2011.

First published in 1965, the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code has become the mandatory framework for all aspects of handling dangerous goods and marine pollutants in sea transport. Although it is directed primarily at sea transport, the provisions of the Code may affect a whole range of industries and services. Manufacturers, packers, shippers, feeder services such as road and rail and port authorities will find authoritative advice on classification, stowage, segregation, packing, labeling, terminology and emergency response action.

IMDG Code Online, Amdt 35-10 contains the full text of the Code and Supplement and is searchable by Proper Shipping Name, UN Number and IMDG Code references. There are easy to use menus and context-sensitive help. The multimodal Dangerous Goods Note can be generated and printed (CD version only).

The International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code contains authoritative text on all aspects of handling packaged dangerous goods and marine pollutants being shipped by sea. This edition of the Code will be effective January 1, 2011, and mandatory January 1, 2012.
