Stabilizing Jacks help prevent up-ending of semi-trailers when they are not connected to a tractor cab during loading and unloading operations. Also, trailer stabilizing jacks can be used to level trailers that are parked on sloped surfaces and prevent landing gear from sinking into soft surfaces. Stabilizing jacks are constructed of high-strength steel. Stabilizing steel jacks comply with OSHA Standards 1910.178(K)(1) & 1910.178(K)(7) when used with wheel chocks (sold separately). OSHA recommends utilizing 2 stabilizing jacks per trailer.
Stabilizing jacks are featured in a wide variety of models from economy hand crank to standard ratchet to heavy-duty hydraulic. Trailer truck jacks are available in 39.5-51" up to 41-55" service range. Stabilizing jacks come in 50,000-lb. or 100,000-lb. static capacity and range from 5,000-lb. to 50,000-lb. lifting capacity.
