Strapping edge guards/protectors are available in rubber, steel or plastic. Use 1/4" rubber edge guards that stay in place even if cargo ships on cargo straps. Use steel edge guards for chain and cargo straps. They are great for sharp and rugged edges, and steel edge guards increase sturdiness on crates. Use plastic edge guards for carton straps and cargo straps. They help prevent plastic strapping from cutting into cardboard cartons.
